Stephanie and Taran originally planned to have not one, but two (!!) events this summer (Indian wedding & American wedding) celebrating their union with alllll their loved ones. Like so many 2020 couples, they had an entire year’s worth of planning snatched by covid. Nonetheless, they kept their spirits high and pivot their timeline effortlessly – they chose to keep their supposed-to-be wedding month & elope with only their parents in attendance.
Their elopement day couldn’t have been more perfect. S + T chose to say their “I do’s” at the Del Mar North Bluffs, a cliffside overlooking the extended shore of Del Mar Dog Beach – a spot that Stephanie visited often with her mom growing up. Soft, golden light showered them throughout their short, 5 minute ceremony and we were able to get down to the shore just as blue hour began to set in.
This day marked the beginning of a new chapter of their lives together – 9 years of dating & 2 cat children later. Stephanie + Taran, thank you so much for taking me along this journey with you. I’m so grateful for and inspired by your gracious response to your big wedding plans getting postponed & can’t wait to party with you two next summer. I know your celebrations will be a year’s worth sweeter.
