My name is Sini. I am a traveling wedding photographer based in Southern California.
I immigrated to the states from S. Korea when I was in 2nd grade. Throughout my childhood, I struggled with my identity as a Korean-American, identifying with and attached to both cultures so deeply. With efforts to keep up with this duality, I always found myself wanting to relate to those around me on a deeper, human level – I longed so hard to be accepted, to share and relate. Despite this yearning, I couldn’t help but feel so vulnerable to change, ache about being both, but not entirely one, and struggle with constant pressure to squeeze into the cookie cutter.
Through photography, I found my voice. It’s my art. A medium to express myself. And most importantly, it gives me purpose. It allows me to connect with individuals on a grounded, human level. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than witnessing and documenting the deepest and most beautiful kind of human connection. After all, the way we love may be unique, but the way we feel love is universal. I want to capture images that will stay and make you feel, even as our minds go and memories fade through time.
So. I’m Sini. Let’s create something inspiring together.
